Woods

There was a little girl named Sheena
Who lived in a small village Kaleena
Surrounded by hills in the midst of woods
Her father to be a shrewd money-lender
And mother was a timid sweet vendor
She had neither the siblings nor a friend
To share some jokes or play in the sand
The little quiet creature, body so tender
With the blue hazel eyes ; shy, short, slender
The lost little soul after the whole day toil
Picked her basket to collect some berries
Stepped swiftly and calmly in the nearby woods

The trees stand tall, mighty and all
With creepers entwining in order to crawl
And branches long, shooting grown as hoods
The grass waving happily like merry-go-round
And flowers dancing merrily in whistling sound
The leaves that scattered all around ; soft to tread
To make a smooth green feather like bed
The birds singing tweet-tweet ; a joyful song
And the rabbits jumping; thud in a throng
The fire-flies hovering, glittering the darkness
The whole seems like a heaven on the earth
A beautiful little world in the heart of woods.

The father and the mother and all the villagers
stared at girl in dismay and raised their queries
to find the reason for wandering in the woods
There are houses and roads, as well as ground to play
Shops to see and money to spend to be happy and gay
Taste spicy n sweets and wear clothes poppy and may
Hustle and bustle with the flocks of vendor
Brim and sublime with beauty and splendour
Now open your mouth and give some clue
Behind penetrating like this alone and subtle
Full of danger in the dark wild woods.

Smiling with enthusiasm and looking at all
Spurted the words so soft and small
What pleasure she found amongst the woods
Away from all evils and lies of people
From all men hatred, shroud and feeble
There exist a true and distinct garden of Eden
Full of life, peaceful, happy and un-trodden
This is the glimpse of real beauty and divine
It fills the heart with pure joy to align
That’s why she comes here to spend some time
A rather more better place than this and thine
Where dwells the God’s angels in the woods.
